Honey, I shop my emotions. I know exactly what’s bothering me; I’d just prefer to process it in new shoes. The hair is a mess, the shopping bags are multiplying, and “just looking” was apparently a damn lie.
Then I’m trading stocks aggressively, staring at my phone like I can intimidate a red number into turning green. Suddenly I have the confidence of a Wall Street executive and a bun held together by yesterday’s dry shampoo. At least the shoes have a return policy.
