Replit vs. Polsia: Am I Buying Help or Another Damn Job?

Replit has a free plan and paid plans. It also offers some work without extra usage charges within its allowances. Paid AI work and services that keep your app running can still have additional costs. So, no, every little request does not automatically mean another bill—but a subscription is not an unlimited pass, either.

Polsia uses credits for tasks it runs, and you can buy more credits. I would check the allowance and the price of extra work in your account before building your plans around it.

My preference is Replit. It was faster, more user-friendly, and overall it did not cost me near as much—but my Replit project was smaller. That matters. These were not two identical projects, so I am not going to fake a scientific showdown for you.

Customer-payment fee	Not the reason I used Replit, so I am not comparing payment processing here.	Polsia’s own pages do not match. Its Sept. 3 Terms say 3% on customer payments, while its current Help page says 20%. In my own communication with Polsia, they told me 20%, so that is the number I was personally given. I’m still flagging the conflict because their official pages should not be telling customers two different things.
Referral offer	Replit currently advertises $20 in credits for you and a qualifying new paying customer you refer.	Polsia’s Terms allow referral credits or other incentives, but I am not promising you a specific reward amount that I have not verified.
Honey’s pick	Replit for the smaller, clearly defined build I did.	I see potential, but I would start with one bounded job before handing it twelve more.

Okay. Now the story.

Replit was faster, easier to use, and cost me a lot less for the project I built. I could figure things out without feeling like I needed to take a class before touching a button.

But again: my Replit project was small. That matters. I am telling you what happened to me, not promising your project will cost what mine did.

Polsia got me with the possibilities.

I jumped into Polsia head first. I got excited about what it could become and the promise of a working project by the end of the day.

End of the day? Hell, I started wondering if we meant the end of next month.

For a while, I regretted pretty much every minute of it. I wanted help getting a project finished. I did not want another thing I had to chase down and supervise.

Now, I do have to own my part. I get excited. One idea becomes six, and “one more thing” apparently means something different to me than it does to everybody else. I tend to overwhelm people. Turns out I can overwhelm AI too. There is a talent I did not need.

My growing wish list complicated things. That does not make every problem my fault, but it belongs in an honest review.

And Polsia has gotten better.

I am not leaving that part out just because the rough part makes a better story. It feels faster to me now, and the upgrades keep pushing it forward. I am finally seeing more of what got me excited in the first place.

My experience with Polsia has gone from “What the hell have I done?” to “Okay, now we are getting somewhere.” Getting there took more patience than I expected.

What would I do if I were starting today?

For a smaller website or app, I would choose Replit again. With Polsia, I would give it one clearly defined job, decide what it is allowed to spend, and check the result before handing it twelve more.
